Author Sheila O'Connor's website describes the book in this way:
“No music. No TV. No computer. No telephone.
I suppose it is something like riding along with a police officer during his/her shift. If you're expecting exciting car chases and shoot-outs, you will probably be disappointed with the mundane calls you will witness in real life. Reality is, thankfully, relatively boring when compared what we expect to witness after watching the cop shows on television. That's what this book did for me. I was just expecting more than a story about reality. I wanted emotion, suspense, and drama - and even if I don't really favor fantasy and magic in my stories, I would have even welcomed that.
