Her school, Neosho Christian School, is a small, private school, so it was little inconvenience to have everyone lie on the playground and use a long measuring tape to measure. Students were then able to put the results in a chart.
My wife thought it an interesting question, so on the 100th day of school, she set out to have students in her school stacked on top of each other to see what heights they might be able to reach. Her school, Neosho Christian School, is a small, private school, so it was little inconvenience to have everyone lie on the playground and use a long measuring tape to measure. Students were then able to put the results in a chart. Only when adding the subtotals together were students able to compare their combined heights with the heights of notable tall items. As it turns out, they came out taller than the Statue of Liberty, but shorter than the Washington Monument.
