Television for me has included watching two movies on Disney+: the first being the newest Pixar release, Onward. This one had just enough heart to overcome my least favorite genre, fantasy involving magic.
I highly recommend the second movie, Queen of Katwe, shot on location in the slums of Uganda, Africa. This movie is a beautiful portrayal of the true story of Phiona Mutesi, a girl who learns how to play chess from a mentor who sacrifices a better life for himself to help Phiona develop her skills to become an international chess sensation and fight her way out of the slums. You should watch this one all the way through the ending credits (There are also some extra scenes and behind the scenes videos under the Extras tab in Disney+. | |
