When the after-school History Arts Club met on Thursday, they were confronted with these two trunks from the American Revolution Institute of the Society of the Cincinnati in Washington, DC. They set out with a goal of opening the locks to get a gander at the contents. Once open, they did more than glimpse inside. Our group of amateur historians got to touch and try on the outfits of various Revolutionary regiments from the 18th century. We have to admit, they looked pretty good in their new duds. | |
