Of course, we had concerns about the weather, but we monitored the situation, and all was well. On the return trip, we had some concerns about a tornado warning that was ahead of us, but it turned out to be through the area before we arrived. With a refueling stop, we missed the storm by several minutes. | Our trip to Jefferson City was a positive one. Hoggatteers really showed their true colors most of the time and made me proud. It was at the rest stop (halfway point) that our fourth graders received their first compliment of the day. Another visitor to the rest area between Springfield and Lebanon mentioned that our students were quite organized. It was not to be our last compliment. I don't know how things went on the other bus, but our bus driver stated that ours was the best field trip group he has ever had. |
I'll make more postings about our Jefferson Trip excursion in the coming days; stay tuned!
