Climbing aboard the shuttle, our group was transported to the recreated Jamestown Settlement. This is just a short distance from the National Park at Historic Jamestowne. The obelisk here does not seem as regal, and we were told that it is not really symbolic of anything and is not a particular height for symbolic reasons. Our guide took us into a yehakin, the structure built by local Indiana for the purpose of housing families within the tribe. Of course, the yehakin was constructed and furnished with all natural materials. |
