Mrs. Friend is working on her degree and hopes to become an elementary school teacher, and we just received confirmation that she gets to return to our fourth grade classroom to start the next school year. She will be a student-teacher, and we'll be helping her develop and flex her teacher muscles. For now, we will miss our Friend during our own last fews days of The Hoggatteer Experience.
While our last day of school is still a few days out, our teacher intern will experience her last day, today. Mrs. Friend joined our class for a couple of days a week for a few weeks. She successfully took the class through a couple of lessons, navigated the requirements for her coursework at Missouri State University, and even substituted for me when I had meetings. She even read my book, There's No Busyness Like School Busyness, while she was here.
