Teams have been working on their dark rides for our version of the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis. Our rides are based, instead, on books that I have read aloud to the class, this year. They began by planning five to seven scenes that their theme park ride will show to riders. One group is ready to start making the "track" for their vehicle to follow through the scenes. They will use markers to show their track, and include special color codes for specific actions that a "vehicle" will make along as riders view their scenes. | |
When they are ready, we will set our Ozobots onto the track and see if they follow the correct instructions coded into their ride. The tiny bots will follow a black line and wiggle, spin, or stop when they encounter a color code. We hope to capture the route on video along with narration before the school's year end catches up to us.
