| The final drive from Midway University to Bluegrass Airport was a pleasant one. Navigation brought me back a different direction than I had come, so it was a little adventure as I drove past a historic church building and along snow-lined lanes through esteemed horse ranches. A light mist required the windshield wipers and created a more surreal atmosphere. On this jaunt, I even saw an actual, live horse standing at the corner of one field. |
Soon it was back on the plane, traveling once again through Chicago's O'Hare International, where I sat for some supper at Chili's - salmon. Finally, it was time to travel the rest of the way home to Joplin. I was in bed by midnight, ready to preach the next morning at church.
