Students are expected to dress appropriately for the learning environment.
Suggestions for appearance follow.

  • Shorts, skirts, dresses, etc. should extend to just above the knee.
  • Pants and shorts must not sag below the waist.
  • Shirts should have sleeves and should cover the stomach.
  • Shoes should be comfortable for the day’s activities.
  • Hair should be a natural color.
  • Clothing must not promote violence, alcohol, smoking, gambling, or lewd behavior. This includes depictions of characters who are normally associated with such items.
  • Jewelry should not be cumbersome and should not be removed at school.
  • Makeup is unnecessary and must be removed.
  • Hair must be a natural color.
  • Temporary tattoos should be washed off or covered from sight before arriving at school.
  • Generally, any clothing or out-of-the-ordinary change in appearance may be a distraction to other students and is discouraged. There are times when students have to be removed from the classroom as a result.
