| My brother and his family met us at Silver Dollar City for a day of fall fun recently, and we stepped into the candle shop for a moment. While there, the youngest in our crowd dipped their own candles. The shop used to be a place where candle making demonstrations could interest guests, but for the most part it has been reduced to a retail candle shop and this activity - dipping candles to add colored wax on the outside. It is still a fun and interesting activity, but I miss the artistic candles and carved candles that used to line the shelves. |
