Our entire school is officially 1:1. That means we now have an electronic device for every student in the school. Our classroom, for example, has a new collection of 24 Chromebooks stored in a couple of charging stations. To be clear, we will not change the best methods we have developed. While I am eager for students to have more direct access to information and applications, I do not plan to sit idle while students work on the computers all day on their own. Our relationships with each other are more important than that, and I am committed to interacting with my students and fostering the skills they need to interact respectfully with one another. | |
