A trip to Roaring River State Park on the last day of January allows a person to see the place in its more natural state. Very few fishermen grace the banks of the river during this part of the year, with full-on trout season starting in March. I found things to be mostly peaceful in my treks around the cave where the spring provides the river's source and around the river itself. It allowed me to get some photography without people in the images.
