It's always fun to get to this point. The image here is part of a digital proof that I have of my teaching book, There's No Busyness Like School Business, which should be released before the end of this month. This is the point at which an author can almost taste things. The digital proof is pretty cool, since I could rotate it to see all angles. I can do just about everything but touch the book. The idea of a "proof" is one more reminder that edits may still be needed. The physical proof will be ordered soon, and delivered into my hands through the mail. I will look over the physical book to make sure the margins are right, the font is consistent, the titles are in the right places, and the paragraphs are readable, in addition to traditional editing of the sort we might do in with our classroom writing. Finally, I will give the book my thumbs up to make it available for purchase. I foresee the price for this volume being $12.50. |
