Every year, we buy a new ornament for the Christmas tree. The ornament has to represent the biggest event in our lives for the previous year. Sometimes it is difficult to think of something appropriate (last year), but this year was actually an easy one. This year, we looked for something to represent new beginnings for everybody in the immediate family. After all, I started a new position supervising student-teachers with Pittsburg State University, working as a master teacher with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, writing curriculum for the institute as well as the Lincoln Presidential Foundation, and of course, more availability for church work. My wife's career change is a big one as she began teaching Math and Science at Neosho Christian School. |
Our son began his new life as a Christian, after making the most decision of his life to be immersed for the forgiveness of sins.
