“To be good, and do good,
is the whole duty of man comprised in a few words.” (Abigail Adams) Here is the first-person video of my encounter with the blue whale on Route 66 of Catoosa, Oklahoma - a bit of nostalgia for the 1960s and 1970s.
“We simply cannot expect to refine
the substance of character from husks of pleasure.” (Gordon B. Hinckley) When we happened upon the Prewar Pileup in Catoosa, Oklahoma, I was able to capture this video of the 1930s and 1940s cars in action. They sounded pretty good to me. “What kills a skunk is the publicity it gives itself.”
(Abraham Lincoln) We happened across something special on our journey back from my mother's 80th birthday celebration in Oklahoma. Stopping outside of Tulsa for a bite to eat, we noticed a jalopy in the parking lot from 1944. It was a rusty thing - and coincidentally, also 80 years old. Upon leaving the fast food establishment, we saw other old rust buckets (and I say that in the fondest way) entering the parking lot. Soon we were discover there was a car show in a park less than three miles away. We had to go and see what they called a PreWar PileUp. While my son would be more interested in modern, exotic muscle cars, these were the ones that caught my eye. Interesting was when the Tesla Cyber Truck arrived. He wasn't part of the show, but had to stop because his own vehicle was making a "funny noise". I had to get this last picture, which I call Great Grandson Looking at the Old Folks at the Family Reunion.
"Feelings are a lot like waves:
We can't stop them from coming, but we can choose which ones to surf." (unknown) “Courage is what it takes
to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.” (Winston Churchill) My sermon begins immediately, with just a few seconds cut from the beginning. "Seek freedom and become captive of your desires. Seek discipline and find your liberty."
