In this room is explanation of the crash story, but also on display are items recovered from the plane. This includes the suit Rogers wore, the type writer with which he always traveled (He was the original blogger.), and items from his pockets (including pocket knives, glasses, a puzzle box, and more). I spent a moment realizing where these objects have been and who had touched them.
The most intriguing display from the Will Rogers Memorial in Claremore was the room that marked the man's final chapter. This room chronicled the fateful plane crash of Rogers as his pilot and friend, Wiley Post (It is ironic that two airports in Oklahoma City are named for these two figures.).
