The future is, for the most part, unpredictable. There is only so much we can do to attempt to keep up with the latest trends and technologies. My wife's class at Neosho Christian School is taking a new track as they concentrate on coding. Recently, Mrs. Hoggatt gathered enough contributions to obtain a rover through Texas Instruments. I must say, I'm pretty lost when my calculator has more than a dozen buttons, so these graphing calculators are pretty useless to me...but that may be exactly the point: these students are the future, and they can't afford to be stuck in the past. The components of the rover and all of the programming to make it perform certain tasks can be pretty intimidating, but up and coming students don't have to know that. |
