One thing that strikes the visitor to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, is the cleanliness of the park. While there was a decent crowd, we didn't notice litter lying around. That helps the same visitor to better enjoy the landscaping and architecture of the park. I can't help but contrast Dollywood with our more familiar Silver Dollar City. There seemed to be more working water features in Tennessee. |
| Along with the topiaries I reported, yesterday, there are many well-kept flower beds throughout the acreage of Dollywood. This is true of Silver Dollar City, also, but when we were there, this week, we noticed that some of their color comes from fake flowers. I was struck with the general beauty of Dollywood, and the well-presented architecture and landscaping displays. I will write more concerning the themes of the two parks in soon. For now, enjoy the few shots that I snapped on our Tennessee trip at the end of last month. Click on these to enlarge them. Some of them turned out nice. |
