Well, the votes have been tallied for the Spring Residential Program at George Washington's Mount Vernon. I applied, with all of the credentials and writings required, to attend the four day opportunity, complete with a stay on the property. It is a working residency, in which my brain would be overwhelmed with information, not to mention the emotion involved with walking in the footsteps of our first president - who, by the way, had a big hand in making America great. | |
Thank you for your interest in the 2017 Spring Residential Programs at George Washington’s Mount Vernon. We were delighted by the number of outstanding applications we received from educators, which made the selection process very competitive.
The review committee was extremely impressed with your qualifications and has selected you as the second alternate for Slavery in George Washington’s World. We hope, if space becomes available, you will join us at Mount Vernon this spring.
You are, undeniably, a highly qualified and enthusiastic educator who we feel would be an asset to our program. If a space does not open this spring, we hope you will consider applying for future programs at George Washington’s Mount Vernon.
Sincere Regards,
