I could have titled this article "Clash of the Seasons" as the photo to the right supports. In addition to thousands of pumpkins and carved pumpkins, Silver Dollar City hosts many fall features, including high-quality craft booths, giant 1,000+ pound pumpkins, a way-off-theme dance party area (which I avoid with a passion), and the new overhead display of orange, paper lanterns. These don't have the same effect as the pennants over the summer, but they do cast nice shadows, adding a bit of dimension to the area. The lanterns also have lights in them that really show up at dusk. |
