| While weapons like this may not be everybody's cup of tea, there is something to say for the artistic and mechanical talents involved in the development of firearm technology. Or if you would rather, just appreciate the historical decisions and events that took place in the presence of these pieces. From presidents to kings to wild west performers, the people who wielded these firearms certainly made names for themselves. As their hands gripped the pistols, and as they hefted the rifles to their shoulders, they probably never imagined their guns being placed into exhibits. |
Adjacent to the firearms displays is a tribute hall to archery, with a prominent piece at the entrance. Difficult to see in the photo at right, behind this glass box is a bow that was carried by the famous and infamous Geronimo. Between the two museums is a divider that showcases weapons used in the movies. If the historical pieces didn't get your attention, these were owned by Hollywood stars from John Wayne to Tom Selleck. They can be seen in movies, from True Grit to American Sniper. |
