| The doors to the registration desk were surprisingly decorated with the blue and gold 50 Teachers Celebration logo. Another sign was located on the inside. I suppose that was when I first realized that this was not just an event that Disney's Imagination Campus threw together.  |  There was a great deal of planning involved for my recent involvement in the teacher salute conducted at Walt Disney World in Florida. In fact, just bringing fifty teachers together and handling our event in general took many organizers - an indication of the efficiency of the Disney company. |
| Greeted by Disney cast members, I soon had in hand a backpack with a rubber Mickey-shaped luggage tag attached. The bag, as might be expected, was filled with goodies.. The t-shirt, they told me, had a slight discoloration and they had ordered replacements which were expected to arrive later in the day. Also in the bag were my credentials, my three-day park hopper pass, and a $200 gift card to be used as I pleased. A neat little box was also in there, containing a sheet of stickers, a Corkcicle 50th Anniversary cup, a notebook and pen, a charging cord, and a heavy phone stand rounded out the SWAG. I picked up my new red shirt the next morning. | |
Speaking of the next morning, that was when the real program and magic for the weekend was to begin. Until then, I planned on wasting no time and hopped over to a couple of the parks before heading off the beddy-bye. I have more to come to report about all of it in the next few days.
