It's a shame that I didn't get to explore Yorktown, Virginia, outside of the confinement of our chartered bus when I visited in July. From what I could tell, this place is wonderfully manicured and just plain pretty to behold. I would have loved getting to stretch my legs here for at least a day. Instead, the bus just kept driving - on the way from the treasures of the American Revolution Museum to the Yorktown Battlefield National Park where treasures awaited. It's all like being in a candy store for a history buff! |
