| On Thursday evening, I attended the Celebration of Schools, hosted by the Southwest Center for Educational Excellence. I was recognized by the center with a plaque to recognize my "exemplary contribution and service to education in Southwest Missouri". The evening began with fruit and sweets and ended with a presentation of awards for a number of local educators from some 40 school districts. Mrs. Francis (nee Reither) was also there as one of last year's Golden Apple recipients. Our school was also nominated for an award for our school transformation during the week before Spring Break. Though another school district took the award home, it was a special time to stand in recognition of our efforts at Seacil Floyd. |  |
