| The Magic Squares challenge was issued, and students stepped up to the challenge. This was a challenge that required skills in mulitplying single- and dual-digit factors to solve a series of ten puzzles. I have tried to get students who have already mastered these skills to help the students who are still developing in this area. Of course, teams with pupils who have yet to learn their basic multiplication facts are at the biggest disadvantage in an activity such as this. Hopefully this type of soft competition is beneficial for all students. |
