The three fourth grade classes worked to make a collective project based on the works in the Crystal Bridges collection that they observed and discussed, last week. Our class did its part to add to the project by making letters for the wording on a large banner. For the focus of the piece of art we were creating, students decorated their own "shoestrings" to hang in the center. These were meant to mimic the large shoestring installation that is prominently displayed at the museum in Bentonville, Arkansas. The original piece forms the first three words of the United States Constitution: "We the People". | |
