I also now have the opportunity to display my flag that was flown over Washington's house at Mount Vernon. | Most of the "Revolutionary" decor has been removed from our classroom, but I have replaced them with art from Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas. This late portrait of George Washington and the cityscape of Brooklyn in 1820 currently reside in the Crystal Bridges collection. |
The current decoration should last through the rest of the school year - especially as we move much of our attention. State MAP testing comes in May, so to accommodate our learning and testing, the active lessons will now be located in "the annex" area in the hallway outside the gymnasium.
