Make Mathematics Great Again is a summer workshop designed originally for elementary teachers in Joplin Schools. I will present the three-hour session from 9-Noon, on Wednesday, May 24. The session is described as follows: The challenge in Mathematics is to, marry Standards with Practices, balancing it all with Fluency and Number Sense. During this three-hour session, you will explore and discover (maybe even create) Math Challenges that tend to be open ended and thought provoking. You’ll soon be asking students two questions: "What do you notice?" and "What do you wonder?" |
