| Each table group in the class was responsible for preparing some thoughts about a different image of the personified American figure, Columbia. I didn't know how they would do in presenting the artwork to the rest of the class; they surprised me with their depth of inference skills and ability to stand before the others. Apparently, we have done enough of these types of art analysis activities that the kids have become experts in the teaching style. With some guidance, they can really impress, and I hope we soon get the chance to do more student-led lessons like this one. |
